Boucles Addict Studio protects your personal information in accordance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25). This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why, and how to exercise your rights.

Information collected and how it is used

On this site: no accounts. We collect no information about you when you simply browse.
Pre-appointment questionnaire (optional): if you fill it out, we receive your name, your email or phone number, your answers about your hair (type, length, density, past treatments, expectations) and any message you add. This information is used only to prepare your appointment and plan the right amount of time. You can skip the questionnaire and book directly.
Booking: when you book online, your name, email, phone number and chosen service are collected by our booking tool Setmore, solely to manage your appointments (confirmation, reminder, changes).
At the studio: notes about your hair (texture, treatments done, products) may be kept to follow up at your next appointments.
Photos and videos: we only publish a photo or video of you, including a before and after, with your consent. For a minor, a parent’s consent is required. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Messages: if you write to us or call us, we use your contact details only to reply.

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for any purpose other than those described here.

Cookies

This site only uses cookies that are essential to how it works, including the one that remembers your choice below. No analytics or advertising tool is active at this time.

If visit statistics are added, they will remain turned off by default and will only be turned on with your consent. You can change your mind at any time with the small icon at the bottom left of the screen, or here: manage my cookies.

Service providers outside Quebec

To work, the site and the booking system rely on service providers located outside Quebec, in the United States:

Vercel: website hosting. Like any host, it processes technical connection data (IP address, browser) to keep the site secure and working properly.
Setmore: booking and managing appointments.
Google (Google Sheets and Gmail): receiving and organizing questionnaire answers.

These providers offer adequate protection of information and only use it to deliver their service.

Retention and security

We keep your information for as long as needed to follow up on your appointments, then destroy it securely. Access is limited to Bianca. If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify you and the Commission d’accès à l’information, as required by law.

Your rights

At any time, you can:

ask to see the information we hold about you;
have it corrected or deleted;
withdraw your consent, including to the publication of a photo or video;
receive your information in a structured, commonly used technological format.

Write to biancaboucles_addict@outlook.com. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Changes

This policy may be updated. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page. The French version prevails in case of discrepancy.
